Cookie policy

Version: cookies-2026-10-18.1 · 18 October 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by TradeArena. The current configuration uses only necessary technical mechanisms or preferences requested by the user. First-party aggregate measurement works without cookies, advertising or behavioural tracking.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores or reads in the browser. Other technologies, such as local storage, can serve an equivalent purpose. This policy covers both kinds of mechanisms when TradeArena uses them on the public tradearenahq.com domain.

Access protections applied to internal, test or preview environments are not part of the public service and are reviewed separately.

2. Who uses them

The first-party cookies described in this policy are used by Trade Arena to provide TradeArena. For any question, write to support@tradearenahq.com or use the contact form and select “Help with TradeArena”.

3. Necessary first-party cookies

__Host-tradearena_login — Technical sign-in cookie. During the redirect to the identity provider, it holds encrypted security data needed to complete sign-in and return to the requested page. Maximum lifetime: 10 minutes; it is deleted when the authentication return completes. Owner: Trade Arena.

__Host-tradearena_session — Technical authentication cookie. It keeps the account session through an encrypted opaque token that is not available to JavaScript. Lifetime: browser session; it has no expiry date and is normally deleted when the browser is fully closed. It is also deleted on sign-out and becomes unusable if the session is revoked or, at the latest, after 30 days. Owner: Trade Arena.

tradearena_locale — Technical preference cookie. It remembers whether the user selected Spanish or English. Maximum lifetime: 365 days. Owner: Trade Arena.

In production these cookies are host-only, use Path=/ and are transmitted with Secure and SameSite=Lax. They are also HttpOnly, so code running on the page cannot read their contents.

4. Technical local storage

tradearena:invitation-state:v1 — Technical fallback used to notify other open tabs that an invitation status changed. It stores only a timestamp, contains no identifiers, email addresses or invitation contents, and is deleted immediately after the notification is emitted. It is used only when the browser does not support the primary cross-tab communication channel.

Technical progressive-web-app caches load interface resources and provide a stable experience. They are not used to identify, profile or track a person.

5. External services requested by the user

When you ask to sign in or perform a payment operation, the browser may temporarily open external domains. Auth0 provides authentication; Google is involved only if you choose to sign in with Google; and Stripe provides Checkout and the billing portal. These services may use technical, security or fraud-prevention cookies on their own domains under their policies.

TradeArena does not install, read or control the cookies belonging to those external domains on tradearenahq.com. The relevant service identity is shown before or during the requested operation.

6. First-party measurement and cookies that require consent

TradeArena counts landing visits, CTA clicks, Checkout starts and Founder activations in aggregate. This first-party measurement sends only the event type, language, plan and a closed page location. It uses no cookies, local storage, user, session, full URL, referrer, UTM, email, amount, persistent fingerprint or financial data.

TradeArena does not use analytics, advertising, profiling, heat-map, cross-site tracking or other optional cookies. For that reason no consent banner or preference panel is shown. If a non-necessary technology is considered in the future, it will remain disabled until the corresponding information has been provided and, where required, prior consent has been obtained in a way that is easy to reject or withdraw.

7. How to control or delete these technologies

You can block or delete cookies and site data through the browser settings. If you block the sign-in or session cookies, you will be unable to access the account or will have to sign in again. If you delete the language preference, TradeArena will return to its default language or let you select it again.

Signing out deletes TradeArena's session cookie. Cookies on external domains must be managed through those domains or the browser settings.

8. Personal data and transfers

The Privacy Policy explains the processing of personal data associated with accounts, authentication, payments, security and rights requests. It also describes recipients by category and safeguards for international transfers.

9. Changes and contact

We will review this inventory periodically and update this policy's version and date when the technologies or their purposes change. Send any cookie question to support@tradearenahq.com or use the contact form.
